He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
Bonjour à toutes nos familles
Working bee this weekend - from 10am
Thanks to the seven fearless garden warriors who have signed up for this weekend’s working bee, which will mainly be digging up clay “soil” and filling two skips on Saturday and Sunday this weekend!
The following weekend (Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July) we’ll have some mountains of new and improved soil to spread around into the garden.
BYO shovel/spade and rake!
Please fill in the form if you are keen to help out and let us know your availability. We’d love to see you!
Year 7 & 8 Information Evening - 5 August 6 - 7pm.
Harriette and Sarah will be hosting this at school, to talk to parents about what our Year 7 & 8 programme looks like for next year. We have a brand new technology programme starting which is really exciting, as well as high quality teaching and learning programmes, loads of trips out of the school and leadership opportunities. This is a chance for you to ask questions and have them answered objectively.
Kapa haka performance to open Vogelmorn 10 Year Celebration 2 August 12pm
We have been invited to open the Vogelmorn 10 Year Celebration with a kapa haka performance. It would be great to have loads of our children involved! Please fill out the form if your child would like to participate! We will meet at school at 11 to get into the kapa haka uniforms, get everyone’s faces stencilled and have a practice, then walk down together to perform. (More on the celebration below.)
School Board Elections – September 10, 2025
Every three years, schools across Aotearoa hold elections for their School Boards. Our next election is on September 10, 2025.
The board is an important part of our kura, helping shape the direction of the school, managing finances, consulting with the community, and ensuring we honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Our board has 7 members: 5 elected parents, the Principal, and 1 staff representative.
We’ve appointed ‘Election Pilot’ as our Returning Officer to run the election online. They’re the only provider approved by the Ministry of Education for online school elections, and have over 20 years of experience.
You’ll receive nomination and voting details by email. If we don’t have your email, forms will be sent by post so no one misses out.
Your contact details have been shared with Election Pilot for election purposes only and will be deleted 60 days after the election, in line with the Education and Training Act 2020 and Education (Board Elections) Regulations 2022.
Questions? Contact Election Pilot at 0800 VOTENZ (0800 868 369) or election@electionpilot.nz.
We’ll keep you posted as the election approaches!

Join us to mark the last 10 years of Vogelmadness in a mini-festival spanning 10 hours. Experience a range of workshops and performances celebrating the eclectic range of happenings that take place at Vogelmorn, from music and martial arts to theatre and trampolining!
Enjoy drinks from our UPSTAIRS bar and kai from Smoked & Pickled and bread and dips from Damascus. BYO ingredients to make pizza in our very own pizza oven!
