He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
Bonjour à toutes nos familles

School Photos

School photos are on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. If you have out of school siblings that you want to include in a photo, they need to be at school at 8.30 on Tuesday.

If your child is in a team photo, please make sure they have their Ridgway t-shirt. Coaches are welcome to join their team's photograph.

Road safety

Thanks to those who made it last week to talk to Julie Anne Genter about road safety…and our cause has made it into the paper!  Hopefully this might spur on some action to keep our kids safe on the roads. You can read the article here

Congratulations to Ruru

Yesterday and today our Ruru teachers have been involved in a conference for teachers in French bilingual schools in New Zealand. Massive thanks to Estelle for all her expert organisation skills in pulling this off as our school hosted this event this year. We had a beautiful mihi whakatau this morning to welcome all the teachers from around the country to our school. Congratulations on a successful event Estelle, Julie and Felicity!

Reminder about our Matariki Celebration - 18 June 5.30 - 7pm

  • On Wednesday 18 June, send your child to school with a vegetable for the hāngī that’s prepared during the day

  • Evening event starts with singing at 5.30

  • Sausage sizzle available for a gold coin donation

Judging by responses from last week’s newsletter, only 12 families are coming…we know it’s a really popular evening event and that this can’t be true. It is, of course, entirely possible that only 12 people read the newsletter and everyone who read it responded. (Egads! All this effort for nothing!)

Please fill out our form so we know you’re coming!

Rascals Holiday Programme

Three weeks to go until the school holidays! While you’re pondering how that could possibly be true (hint: a highly unusual 9 week term), rest assured Lucan and the rest of the Rascals crew will be at school to look after your children.  Book them in here and enjoy some time to yourself (or just go to work, sigh).
