Silent Auction - it’s live!

Our silent auction has started! It runs for two weeks, ending at 9pm on Friday 23 May. There are some really fantastic things on offer - lots of vouchers for local businesses, some wonderful items and workshops from our school whānau, and of course a $500 Interislander voucher which is currently available for only $250!

Scoop up some presents, grab a voucher to try out a new place, or treat yourself to a new experience. There are some fantastic bargains to be had. All funds go directly to our learning support programme, so don’t be shy!

It’s also possible to make a donation directly: the first item on the website is a donation button. This is a great option for whānau who might like to support the auction, but don’t live locally. Alternatively, they can make a bank transfer to the school account (reference: AUCTION).

Kiwi Hoops

We have the Kiwi Hoops programme at school for the next six weeks.Kiwi Hoops is Basketball New Zealand’s national basketball programme for tamariki. It uses basketball activities and games-based learning to support tamariki to develop skills and confidence and grow their love for the game. Every child will participate in a basketball session once a week, learning skills and having fun! 

Wool in Schools

We have this cool resource at school for the next couple of weeks.  It’s a container that’sbeen dropped at school and is full of wool and all things woolly! There’s lots of fun stuff for the kids to explore and learn about. 

Movies at the Penthouse

As our next PB4L reward on June 24th, we are heading to the Penthouse Cinema for a movie reward.  We will walk down in the morning and the movies will start at 10am.  We will have two options for children to watch and will let you know once we know what they are.  If your child isn’t keen to go to the movies, we can pop something on at school for them instead. 

Pink Shirt Day

This is coming up next Friday. This is a chance to wear pink (yusssssss!) and do some learning around what bullying is and how we can stop it. We will have some fun activities and learn more about what being an upstander means!
