Performance opportunity for our Kapa Haka

We have been invited to open the Brooklyn Twilight Festival on Saturday 11th November at 3pm.  We will be taking our senior extension te reo group to this. However, everyone is welcome.  If you’re going to be at the festival anyway, pop your child in a Ridgway t-shirt and they can join in!  Just let Sarah know beforehand so we know how many to expect.

Parking in the bus stop - nooo! Don’t do it!

Just a reminder that the bus stop is actually a functioning bus stop during school hours. We have lots of buses coming and going at the moment and from about 2.40 parents are parking in the bus stop waiting for their children. We’d appreciate it if you could leave the bus stop clear until 3pm.

Ridgway’s Got Talent

For those of you who haven't had the privilege of coming to one of these shows, it’s essentially a talent show where children perform for the school. In the past we’ve had musical items, skits, gymnastics, dances and magic tricks. Auditions are coming up in November so if you think your child would be keen to showcase a talent, encourage them to get practising. They can always perform as a group if they don’t want to do it on their own.

German lessons restarting today

If your child was already signed up, they will have had their lesson today. Wie aufregend!

Walking Stars - Cancer Fundraiser

Five of Ridgway’s Kereru/ Ruru students are going to be taking part in the 12km walking stars Cancer fundraiser on 11 November, proudly wearing their Ridgway T-shirts.  They are Piper, Millie, Isla-Rose, Mila and Sabine.

They have called their team the Navigators and their team page for fundraising is here: Navigators • Walking Stars 2023 if you are able to support their cause.
