Tawatawa News

Friday 12 April

He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
Bonjour à toutes nos familles

It’s a wrap!

What a term!   We’ve had picnics, wheels days, multicultural day, sausage sizzles, Year 5 & 6 camp, Year 7 & 8 library trips to the city, Te Papa visit, training with the Saints basketball team, Book Day, lit quiz, Movin’March, netball, Raelene’s farewell (😥), Football Festival, Japanese group visit, futsal, and loads more! No wonder all the teachers are looking ten years older! (Not really, but this is how I’ll know if they’re reading the newsletter…)

Pre-loved clothing sale

On Saturday 8th June we are having a pre-loved clothing sale (+ sausage sizzle lunch/bake sale) to raise money for the bike track. More details to follow, but for now please hold on to your good condition (not stained or ripped) children's, men's and women's clothes/shoes you no longer want, as we’ll be seeking donations to make the event a success. We will let you know where to drop off your donated clothes/shoes early next term. If you're able to help us organise and/or run the event (even if it's just for a few hours on the Saturday - approx 10am set up till 4pm pack down) please let Sarah know.

Help needed for one of our families!

One of our families lost all their possessions this week in a major house fire. Hasan and Flora (of Damascus fame) have Tamara in Year 2 and Rafi who is 4. We have started a GiveaLittle page for them to try to help them get back on their feet and replace what they have lost.  If you are able to donate, please do.  Every little bit helps! We are just waiting for the GiveaLittle page to be moderated and verified and then we will send out the link.  They are also looking for a 2-3 bedroom house to move into. If anyone has any leads, please email us and we will pass it on.
