Friday 22 February

He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
Bonjour à toutes nos familles

Sausage sizzles this term, every Thursday

Starting next Thursday, on the very special 29th of February, it’s Sausage O’Clock!  Use lunchonline next week to order your child a sausage or two (or as many as they want really).  Any profit will go towards keeping the cost of camp down. We will have onions! We will have mustard and sauce! We will have a vegetarian option! We will even have bread!

Using the pedestrian crossings

With lots of new families, we realise that pedestrian crossings and road patrol might be new.  Our road patrollers are trained by the police to operate the crossings.  They say “sign’s out, check, clear, cross now” once it’s safe to cross.  Please wait until you get the all clear with a “cross now” (even if you know yourself it’s safe to cross).  They get extremely confused and don’t know what to do when people mess with their system! While it’s comedy gold to see the looks on their faces, waiting for the “cross now” is actually what you are meant to do.

Mid term hui

This is on Friday 8 March at 2.15. Come and join us to celebrate our Excellence Awards and enjoy some waiata.

Futsal - still spaces in our Year 1/2 team!

Four more weeks of games on Friday after school. Email Nick (energy24.7@gmail.com) if your child is keen to come along and give it a go!

Movin’ March - starts next Friday

Walk or wheel your way to school, earn a stamp on your passport (handed out next Thursday) and then go into a prize draw!  Even if you usually drop your child to school, if you drop them off a bit further away (like down by VBC) they still get a sticker and their card signed. This also gives the scary man in the hi-vis vest a bit of a rest from directing traffic away from the yellow lines and cones outside school!
