Kahikatea Camp Out - our whole school PB4L reward next week

As part of being a Positive Behaviour For Learning school, we have one whole school reward a term for filling up our R Card boxes by being responsible, respectful, resourceful and resilient. This term’s reward is called ‘Kahikatea Camp Out’.  Children can bring sleeping bags, cushions, pillows and all the things they need to be super comfy and ‘camp out’ for the afternoon with their friends next Tuesday. There is a choice of two movies. One is the new Disney movie Elemental (rated PG) and the other is the original Mulan movie, (rated G).  If you do not want your child watching a PG movie please email Sarah and we will make sure they are in the G movie section!  (To avoid confusion, this camp out will be finished by 3pm, they will not be staying overnight so cancel that last minute dinner reservation you just made.)

Fundraising Committee - bring it back!

We are looking for some awesome fundraisers to bring back a fundraising committee to school. We’d love to get a group of motivated parents together to come up with amazing ideas and actually get stuff happening.  We have such a talented group of parents at this school (grease, grease) and would love to tap into this resource. Please let Sarah know if you’d be interested in being a part of this!

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

For our Te Wā Tuku Reo we gathered as a kura and sung beautiful waiata together!  We’ve also had movies in te reo and have been learning and using lots of new kupu.

Try these with the whānau over the weekend.

Me he tē!  (Like a boss)

Karawhiua! (Give it heaps)

Tau kē! (Awesome)

Tūwhitia te hopu, mairangatia te angitū! (Feel the fear and do it anyway)
