He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa - warm greetings to all.

School at Level 2

Just a reminder that the office is closed and we are asking that parents do not enter the school buildings. If you do need to come in, you will have to sanitise your hands and sign in. Thank you for helping us to stick to the rules at Level 2. With the office closed, you can phone (9398771) or email (office@ridgway.school.nz) and use internet banking if you have something to pay for.

Learning Conferences

We are having learning conferences for our Year 6 - 8 students on September 1 and September 3. These are being held now in order to help with transitions to other schools. Learning conferences for everyone else will be in the first week of Term 4 (13 and 15 October) which will allow for a full cycle of assessment to be completed. If you wish to view your child's academic records at any time you are able to do this via the etap parent portal on a computer or the etap app on your phone. You can find academic records for their whole time at Ridgway. For our new parents (and those who may not have signed up yet), please get in touch with anneleah@ridgway.school.nz for your login information.

Kathryn is hosting a 'Korero with Kathryn' on 25 August from 6 - 7pm to help parents use the parent portal and interpret the data so if you need any help with this, then this is the korero for you! Please RSVP to office@ridgway.school.nz if you would like to attend.

These learning conferences will be different from our usual student-led conferences. These will be a conversation between the adults and it is optional for your child to attend. Year 6 - 8 parents can go to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and use the code 2z27m (the letters are lowercase) to book in a time. The available times are Tuesday 1 September 3.15 - 6pm for Kaka and Ruru and Thursday 3 September 1.30 - 7.30 for Kaka.

Premier Event

We are having another go at rescheduling this. We are aiming for Thursday August 27th from 5.30 to 8.30pm, as long as we are in Level 1 by then. Destructive testing is due to start in the old buildings ahead of demolition and we will no longer have access to these buildings once this happens. If we stay at Level 2 we will, however, have to cancel this event. Fingers crossed for good news later on today.

School Lunches

These are going really well. Thanks to everyone for supporting them! If you haven't ordered lunches for the rest of the term you may like to do it here to avoid missing out if you miss the cut off on Wednesday at 9am.
