Zone Proposal

We are in the process of putting in a zone. You will be able to view the proposed zone on our website on June 30th. We also have a Proposed Zone - Consultation Plan if you would like more information. If your child is currently attending school, they won't be affected by the implementation of the zone (even if you live outside it) and any siblings will also be able to attend.

Spellathon

As part of our fundraising for camp for the Year 5 - 8s and the noho marae for the Year 4s, we will be running a spellathon which will start this term. If your child is Year 4 - 8 you can expect a letter with more information about this coming home this week.

Blessing of the buildings

We are having a blessing of the portacom buildings on the field this Thursday at 9am. The whole school will go to the field to say a karakia, sing a waiata and parents are welcome to attend.

Building motifs/images and school branding

We have a number of design elements in the school. These include our R Cards, the ridgeline on our letterhead and logo and the R on our t-shirts. The new building requires signage and design details that will clearly identify who we are and also bring these elements together. We are looking for people who work in the area of design who have expertise they can offer to help us develop the building motifs and imagery for signage and school branding.

Kathryn is looking to work with a small group who can meet to offer their expertise in setting the brief for this design work and secondly to give feedback on designs presented. Please contact Kathryn (principal@ridgway.school.nz) directly if you are able to meet with her next week about this.

Community event

Just a reminder that there is a family board game night at Vogelmorn Community Rooms on Friday 26 June. It's a chance for the community to come together and relax after a busy week!
