Covid-19 - update
As of today any families arriving from overseas are required to self-isolate for two weeks. If children have been in contact with people who have been overseas, they also need to self-isolate for two weeks. The school will provide remote learning for these children to complete at home and parents need to notify the school if this applies to their family.
We have updated our pandemic plan for the current Covid-19 situation. You can read this in full here.
We are currently preparing for remote learning in case we need to close. This remote learning will require access to the internet. Please either talk to Sarah at school or email her on firstname.lastname@example.org if it would be difficult for your child/ren to access the internet home and have the use of a device. We will support families who may find it difficult to follow the Home Learning plan on a case by case basis.
Parents of children in Y1-3 should ensure that the school has a "Learning at Home" email address that parents can access daily to support their child's learning.
Children in Year 4-8 have their own school email and this will be used for "Learning at Home".
All families are advised to make sure that children and adults have a WCC library card to ensure that they can access the wide range of resources available.
All children will bring home library books to read and will have access to the Wheelers eplatform.
If the school is closed it is likely that learning from home will increase family use of the internet. Teachers may share video clips for children to watch or recommend using particular web sites. Families may like to check the plan that they currently hold with their internet provider and consider whether this will be suitable for the family's needs, if everyone needs to work from home as well as fill what they might find is increased leisure time.
Please make sure that the emergency contacts for your child/ren are up to date. You can check this via the app. If you haven't got the app yet, please email email@example.com and they will forward you the link. Having the app is the best way to keep up to date with what is going on at school so please consider getting it if you haven't already.
This is going ahead despite the Fair being cancelled. Keep your eyes peeled for more information about what is being auctioned off. There are some really great items that have been donated!
