Bonjour à toutes nos familles
End of term wrap up
We’ve had a great first term! Here are some of the things that have happened…the Grand Opening of our library, the Year 5 & 6 camp at Forest Lakes, Year 7 & 8 overnighter in the Remutaka Forest Park, cricket across the school,a crazy storm that closed the storm and killed our garden shed (RIP), the start of our in-house technology programme for our seniors (check out how good the garden looks), futsal for what seemed like most of the school, Zero Waste Education in Tui, Kōtare trip to Te Papa, Year 3/4 netball season, buddy classes and Multicultural day. Phew!
Our next storytime at school
A very sad farewell to the lovely Nikki
Today is Nikki’s last day. She’s been a fantastic part of our school for the last five years and has made a huge difference to so many children. We’re going to miss her heaps but wish her the best on her new venture, setting up a carving business. She’s one of the good ones!
Raising Resilient Children - 26 May (17 spots left)
We have partnered with our local schools to bring Kathryn Berkett to speak to our community about Raising Resilient Children. This is an evening event from 6.30 - 8pm at Island Bay School. Each school has been allocated 50 tickets. Please fill out this form if someone from your household would like to attend. If all our spaces fill up, there will be a waitlist in case the other schools don’t use their allocation.
