He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
Bonjour à toutes nos familles

Library update - morning sessions whānau section and book bags

Your child's class will now be visiting the library each week. Student librarians are running lunchtime sessions, and thanks to the support of amazing volunteers, we're able to open between 8:30 and 8:55am daily. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou, Raymond, Julia, Emma and Nadine. Please feel free to start your day by coming into the library and sharing a story with your child, if this suits your whānau.

You may also like to check out our small but growing whānau collection. Suggestions (or donations!) of your fave parenting books for this collection are always appreciated. Whānau are warmly invited to borrow these on your child's library account.

We aim for every student to borrow at least one book per week. Please check out the schedule below to see your child's library day, and send a book bag to school if possible. We have spare blue library bookbags and would appreciate these being returned to school regularly.

Noho Marae - Year 5 - 8

We have booked Maraeroa Marae in Waitangirua again this year for our noho marae. This is ages away (in Term 4, 25 - 27th November) but just to give you a heads up!  We split across the year groups and everyone stays for one night. We had such a great experience last year so feel very honoured to be able to go back again this year.

Hero - using the school app

Just a reminder if you’re having any trouble getting the app or using it, get in touch with the office and they’ll be able to help you.  It is where all the school information is and how we communicate with you, so it’s definitely worth getting!

Water Only School

We are a ‘water only’ school in terms of children’s beverages.  Please keep the Up n Go and juice etc at home and send your child with a water bottle to hydrate the healthy way.

Year 7 & 8 Overnight Camp

This year we are running an overnight camp in the Remutaka Forest Park for our Year 7 & 8s (as well as their main camp at Camp Makihika in Term 3).  They are working in groups to supply all the equipment and food that they need and are in charge of managing this themselves.  There has been lots of great learning!  This is happening next Thursday night and we look forward to seeing them all come back bedraggled but exhilarated after a night of camping! Hopefully the weather warms up by then.
