Kapa haka performance at the National Library

What a fabulous performance last Friday!  It was great to have it so well supported by the community.  The National Library have shared photos of the event and there are lots of photos of the kapa haka group as well as parents standing around enjoying the wine and food (and the performance of course)!  Check them out here.

Festival of the Arts Thursday 8 December 6 - 7.30pm

On Thursday the 8th of December, we will be celebrating ‘Our Place’ and the culmination of this term’s work in Discovery Learning with a Festival of the Arts.  The festival will include dance, wearable arts, drama, music, and visual arts.  The theme of the festival is ‘Our Place, Creative Wellington’ and will include references to us and the community that we live in here in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Maps of the various exhibitions and performance times will be available at the entrance. We will have a $2 sausage sizzle in our flash outdoor space on our new BBQ, so bring the whānau, come along, grab a sausage and enjoy our space and the mahi of all our tamariki.

Here are some photos to get you in the mood for the Festival of the Arts and we look forward to seeing you there!
