Summary of Financial Contributions for 2020

This notice sets out our Voluntary Donation requests and our Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC) activities for the year. All donations are tax deductable.

Voluntary School Donation

The Voluntary School Donation amounts are unchanged since 2013 and are shown in the table below. This donation is a contribution towards day to day curriculum costs and enables us to purchase such things as art supplies, library books and ICT equipment.

Swimming Donation

The Swimming Donation covers the cost of swimming programmes that all children will participate in during term 3.

We request a voluntary Swimming donation of $55 per child.

Mathletics Donation

Students in Years 4 - 8 use Mathletics to support their leaning in maths. Mathletics is an internationally recognised online learning platform that can be closely linked to the classroom programme and provides teachers and students with another tool to ensure success in maths. Students can access it all year round.

If your child is in Year 4 - 8 we request a voluntary Mathletics donation of $30.00 per child (or $7.50 per term)

Mathseeds and Reading Eggs Donation

Students in Years 1 - 3 use Mathseeds and Reading Eggs to support their leaning in maths and reading. These are internationally recognised online learning platforms that can be closely linked to the classroom programme and provides teachers and students with another tool to ensure success in maths and reading. Students can access it all year round.

If your child is in Year 1 - 3 we request a voluntary Mathseeds and Readig Eggs donation of $30.00 per child (or $7.50 per term)

Technology Donation

Year 7 and 8 children attend technology classes at Mt Cook School throughout the school year. The technology donation is set by Mt Cook School, and paid to them by Ridgway School in a lump sum to cover the cost of materials used. If your child is in Year 7 or 8 we request a voluntary Technology donation of $125.00 or $31.25 per term.

Making donations

Schools are not able to demand payment for compulsory curriculum activities, however we request your serious consideration to making voluntary donations towards the costs of providing Swimming, attending the National Arts Festival, Mathletics for years 4 - 8 and Technology for year 7 & 8 students. By supporting the school in this way you ensure our ability to provide a broad range of learning experiences that benefit all of our children.

Payments can be made at the office via eftpos, cash, cheque, or via internet banking (you may choose to either make a one off payment or set up a series of automatic payments to spread the cost over time).
